These unique log cabins are family owned and run, situated in the quiet countryside on the banks of the Woodford River, just a few miles from the village of Ballyconnell and Belturbet in County Cavan. Each log cabin has been lovingly decorated and furnished to offer comfort and quality throughout, with three cosy bedrooms and an open plan living area complete with a well-equipped fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Ballyconnell is a lovely town overlooked by Slieve Russell mountain and is a picturesque place to holiday. This vibrant town, which has won numerous National Tidy Town awards and is located on the Shannon Erne Waterway. The waterway is a canal which links the Shannon and Erne rivers. It was originally opened in 1856, but was revamped and re-opened in recent years for cruisers, boats and canoes to explore the waterway.

Ballyconnell is highly regarded for its coarse fishing and is a good location to sample some golf courses and outdoor activity. The area has many sites of archaeological interest, including the promontory fort at Ballyhugh and Killycluggin where the decorated Killycluggin Stone.


Belturbet is a warm, friendly town with a big “Cead Mile Failte“ welcome waiting for you on your arrival. Situated along the banks of the River Erne, Belturbet can be easily explored on foot by following its famous heritage trail or by wandering the nooks and crannies to discover Belturbet for yourself. Renowned for its angling, Belturbet is surrounded by the river Erne and various lakes. It is now also considered to be one of Ireland’s best fishing destinations, as it is increasing in popularity for fishing trips.

Having the real Irish town experience allows you to ramble along country lanes and sit by the still & romantic riverbanks or rest on the old stone wall. Afterwards there will be a welcome at the bar and you can sit by the fire and have great food brought to your table. Music, both traditional Irish and popular can be found in the town

The Kilcorby log cabins are only a few miles from the popular villages of Ballyconnell and Belturbet where you will find plenty of traditional pubs to choose from. The choice of attractions around the region offers something for all the family.
